Privacy Policy

This is a one-person studio. What you send reaches one inbox, is used for the reason you sent it, and is not sold or shared for advertising.

1Who we are

This website, www.wisdomseven.qa, is owned and run by Mohammed A. Al-Suwaidi, working under the name WisdomSeven, from Doha in the State of Qatar. Where this page says “we”, “us” or “the Studio”, that is who is meant.

This is a working portfolio for a single artist, not a large company. Data reaches one person, and it is handled that way.

2What this policy covers

It covers information collected through this website and through direct correspondence with us, such as email. It does not cover other platforms we link to — Instagram, X, YouTube, Threads, Facebook or harfesem.com — each of which runs under its own policy.

3What we collect

As little as possible. In practice:

  • What you type into a form — your name, email address, the kind of project you pick, and whatever you write in the message field of the brief form.
  • Your email address, if you join Sahtot Society or put your name down for a product restock. If you sign up for a restock we also keep the product you asked about, because that is the whole point of the list.
  • Technical records kept automatically by the hosting provider for security and uptime — IP address, browser and device type, and the time of the request.
  • Your language choice, English or Arabic, which is stored in your own browser and never sent to us.

We do not ask for identity documents, addresses or payment card details on this site.

4Children

Much of the Studio's work — Harf Esem, Mandoos, the workshops — is made for children. This website is not. It is written for clients, studios, festivals, schools and parents, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If your child has sent us something, write to us and it will be deleted.

5Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and carry on the conversation about a commission or collaboration.
  • To send the Sahtot Society email if you asked for it, and to deliver the wallpaper pack that comes with joining.
  • To tell you when a product you asked about is printed again, and to decide which products are worth reprinting at all.
  • To keep the site running, secure and reasonably fast.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or hand it to advertisers. There is no advertising on this site.

6Consent, and taking it back

You give us this information voluntarily, by writing to us or signing up. You can withdraw at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or write to us and ask. Withdrawing does not undo messages already sent, and it does not affect a commission already under way.

7Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. The only thing kept on your device is your language preference. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers; that request is governed by Google's own policy.

8Who else sees it

Ordinarily, nobody. Your message goes to one inbox. The only exceptions are the service providers needed to run the site — the host, and the email provider used for the mailing list — who process data on our instructions, and any disclosure required by the law of the State of Qatar or by a competent authority.

9How long we keep it

Project correspondence is kept for as long as the working relationship lasts and for a reasonable period afterwards, since past briefs and approvals matter if a question comes up later. Mailing list and restock entries are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short period by the host and then cycled out.

10Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to the inbox is protected. That said, no transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise otherwise. Please do not send anything genuinely confidential through a web form — ask first and we will agree a better route.

11Your rights

Subject to Qatari law, including Law No. 13 of 2016 on personal data privacy, you may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to us and we will deal with the request within a reasonable time and at no charge.

12Where the data sits

The hosting and email services we rely on may store or process data on servers outside Qatar. By using the site or writing to us you accept that this may happen. We choose providers that apply recognised security practices.

13Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version appears here with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept it.

14Getting in touch

Questions about privacy, or a request about your data, go to inquiry@wisdomseven.qa — WisdomSeven, Doha, State of Qatar.
